Cheltenham Town manager Keith Downing has snapped up Bristol City defender Richard Keogh on an initial month's loan.
The 21-year-old follows fellow City players midfielder Alex Russell and striker Steve Brooker in moving to Whaddon Road on loan.
"Richard has not been getting many games here in the first team and he is not in the first-team thoughts for whatever reason," City manager Gary Johnson told the club's official website.
"Richard needs to be playing games and he has already turned down a few loan moves that he didn't fancy.
"But Keith Downing rang me to ask about Richard because he is having problems with defenders. I asked Richard and this is one which he fancies.
"I think he has realised that he needs to play for his own sanity. You can't train all week and not play games. We wish him well and hopefully he can help Cheltenham stay out of trouble."
