Cotterill rejects Robins offer

Managerless Cheltenham Town have been forced to return to the drawing board after an attempt to bring in Steve Cotterill was rejected by the former Burnley boss.
The Robins had hoped that Cotterill's relationship with the club, where he remains a firm favourite after winning three promotions in five years as manager, would be enough to lure the 45-year-old, but it appears that Cotterill was unwilling to return to management at such a low level of football.
"I count myself very lucky to have been manager during their rise from the Southern League to League One. Cheltenham Town is still very close to my heart," Cotterill conceded to the official club website.
"For me it's not about taking a job - it's about a career and I think about my career very carefully," said Cotterill, who has not managed since leaving Burnley in 2007.
Robins chairman Paul Baker said he was "naturally disappointed" by the decision but will continue the search for a new manager.
