Brooker extends Town stay

Cheltenham Town have confirmed that Bristol City striker Steve Brooker will stay at the Whaddon Road outfit for another month.

He will stay until March 11 and can be recalled to Ashton Gate with 24 hours notice.

Manager Keith Downing said: "I'm extremely pleased that Steve will be staying with us for another month.

"He has made a big contribution since he has been here and his fitness is improving all the time.

"Bristol City have also been pleased with the progress he has made with us so we will be looking to continue that."

Cheltenham will be hoping Brooker can fire them safety as they sit two points above Gillingham, who occupy the fourth and final relegation spot.
