Training instructors will compile character profiles on the squad at Blandford Camp in Dorset between July 22 and 26 and Allen will then decide who to hand the armband to before the opening game at home to Grimsby on August 8. "We will get character references on all our players to see what they are like in difficult situations, what they are like dealing with stress, strain, tiredness and how they cope," Allen said.
