The striker was on hand to head home Theo Lewis' 85th minute cross to secure a point for the Robins in Saturday's 1-1 draw with high-flyers Rotherham, a result which continued a fine start to the season. The 36-year-old - who has scored twice in his last three outings - has now called on his side to give more of the same as Town bid to get out of the division at the first attempt. He told the Gloucestershire Echo: "It gets frustrating because you want crosses into the box all the time. It's something we have to work on in training because crosses are what I need. Theo whipped one in and I scored, so it was fantastic." Alsop also praised manager Martin Allen for bringing the veteran back to the club, after spending five years plying his trade in the non-league wilderness. "Without him I wouldn't be here. He is the one who stuck his neck out and put it on the line to bring me back, so I owe him a 'thank you'," he added.
