Allen happy to work within budget
Chairman Paul Baker last week revealed extra money could be at hand if the Robins can maintain their early-season form and are still in or around the promotion shake-up come the new year. Allen has dealt on a shoestring budget in his first year at the club and, although he does regularly look at other players who could boost his squad, he insists his focus is on the players he already has at his disposal at the job at hand. "It's my job to strengthen the squad and I am travelling all over the country watching games and trying to find players," he said in the Gloucestershire Echo. "If money becomes available, great, but if not I won't cry. I didn't cry in the summer when I found out how low our budget was, I put a decent bunch together. "If there is more money, fair play to the chairman and the board, but I will concentrate on getting the players ready for this weekend's match."
