Allen hails Robins victory

Cheltenham Town boss Martin Allen was full of praise for his side after they secured a 3-2 FA Cup second round victory at Morecambe.

Two goals from Ashley Vincent and a John Finnigan penalty were enough for the Robins to edge home at Christie Park and set up a third round clash with Doncaster Rovers.

Allen told the club's official website: "I'm absolutely delighted with the result.

"The players have done an awful lot of travelling lately and we haven't been able to do much training.

"Full credit to the players, I'm absolutely delighted with them and the fact that we came from behind to win makes it all the more special.

"They showed character and commitment and passed the ball superbly at times.

"The passing could have been better in the second half, but the players are not used to winning, so to pass it like we did in the conditions was terrific."
