Yates wants extension on duo

Cheltenham manager Mark Yates has confirmed his desire to extend the loan deals of Shaun Jeffers and Robin Shroot. Striker Jeffers and winger Shroot arrived on the eve of the new season from Coventry and Birmingham respectively, with agreements currently in place running until January. But with the pair having made 29 appearances between them, albeit mostly from the bench, Yates is keen to strike deals with their parent clubs in order to keep his promotion-chasing squad together. "I haven`t spoken to the chairman about Shaun and Robin yet but that will all be sorted in time," he told the club`s official website. "Extending their deals is something I want to do but I`ll speak to the chairman next week." Fellow loanee Marlon Pack is already on a season-long stay from Portsmouth.
