Yates up for Saints test

Mark Yates insists his Cheltenham side will respect but not fear Southampton in Saturday`s FA Cup tie at St Mary`s as the Gloucestershire club look to cause one of the upsets of the second round. The promotion-chasing Robins make the trip to the south coast in good form having not tasted defeat in their last six games and, while Yates knows Saints will be a tough nut to crack, he is willing to go and give it a good shot. "We want to be positive and we will take the game to them because we aren`t the kind of team to sit back and soak up the pressure," he told Town`s official website. "It will be a good day out but it will be more than that when we are there. "Southampton will get promoted out of their league. They started off a bit shaky but they have settled under Nigel Adkins now. They are strong, dangerous at set-pieces, pacy and they can score goals, so it will be a tough tie. "We have to go there with the belief we can win. The FA Cup is all about the underdogs and if we play at our maximum then you never know what can happen. "We have the hardest tie in the round but we`ll always look to win the game. I`ll always play the game down but when we get there our desire will be to win the tie."
