The former Kidderminster manager took the reins from caretaker boss John Schofield back on December 22 and has enjoyed a promising start to his tenure, although he admits there is still much work to be done.[LNB]Yates said: "We've made steady progress without doing anything flash, we know we need a couple of wins - that will lift everybody.[LNB]"We need a couple of home performances that will get us a win as well but, on the whole, five unbeaten away from home although we haven't won at home. We've done okay.[LNB]"We knew we weren't coming into somewhere where everything is rosy. We knew there would be a lot of hard work to be done and there still is. I think we've done okay but there's plenty of room for improvement."[LNB]He added: "Throughout the whole season we perhaps haven't scored enough goals and created enough chances but we're trying to address that and improve everything about the football club. We've made ourselves a little bit harder to beat and hopefully we can get a couple of results that will really spark us off."[LNB][LNB]
