Yates in talks over Cheltenham post

The League Two side parted company with manager Martin Allen last week and former boss Steve Cotterill has already ruled himself out of the job.[LNB]Cheltenham chairman Paul Baker told the club's official website: "We have received a lot of applications and I've been impressed with the quality of them.[LNB]"Mark Yates is also somebody we would like to speak to but, of course, he is unable to apply as he is under contract so we approached Kidderminster for permission to hold talks.[LNB]"This does not necessarily make him the front runner as we will be meeting to consider all the candidates within the next few days."[LNB]Kidderminster chairman Barry Norgrove told his club's website: "I've been approached by Cheltenham Town and Mark would like the opportunity to speak with them. He wants to see what they have to say so we have given him permission."[LNB][LNB]
