Yates hails much improved Robins

Cheltenham manager Mark Yates declared his side were "miles better in every department" after a 2-1 win over Stockport. Victory was no more than Cheltenham deserved as they secured only their first win in nine games. Wes Thomas netted the 67th-minute winner for the Robins after Aaron Brown had cancelled out Jake Thomson's opener. Yates said: "We really needed that win, especially after the four-goal defeat to Stevenage last Saturday. "We were miles better from start to finish and the only disappointing thing for us was the manner in which we conceded a poor goal. I seem to be the only one who knew Stockport were going to take a short corner. "That said, we were miles better in every department. We had energy and we had tempo and that was missing against Stevenage."
