Yates delighted by Robins resilience

Cheltenham manager Mark Yates paid tribute to his side's "determination" after they secured a point against promotion-chasing Bournemouth. The goalless draw enabled the Robins to edge six points clear of Grimsby, who occupy the second relegation spot. At the opposite end of the table, six points now separate second-placed Bournemouth from leaders Rochdale, with Bury and Notts County closing the gap fast. "Our spirit and determination shone through," said Yates. It was a 'dig-in' sort of performance and we deserved our share of the spoils." Yates reserved special praise for skipper Michael Townsend. "Michael won his battle with Pitman and Fletcher at the back and drove his team-mates on with a real captain's performance," added the Robins boss.
