However, Yates admits he does not yet know if any funds will be available to spend.[LNB]Yates enjoyed his first day with his new players on Wednesday and spent it training on astroturf due to the freezing conditions making the club's training pitches unplayable. He insists every player has a clean slate as he looks to guide the Robins further up the League Two table to safety.[LNB]Cheltenham are in a similar situation to most other clubs at their level when it comes to finances being tight, something Yates is well aware of. But he has not yet discussed whether there will be room to manoeuvre in January.[LNB]"We haven't really talked about that," he said. "I think there might be a bit of tinkering here and there but we're going to assess the squad that we've got and we go in with open eyes.[LNB]"All the players have a fresh start if you like and they've just got to impress. If they do that then we'll give them a chance.[LNB]"If we feel that, with one or two, things need to happen then we'll do it if it's the right thing for the football club and the right thing for the team."[LNB][LNB]
