Yates angry at penalty decision

Cheltenham boss Mark Yates felt the referee was influenced into giving a late penalty which led to Stockport claiming a 1-1 draw. Brian Smikle put the visitors ahead but Greg Tansey scored with a stoppage-time spot-kick which came after Hatters fans had invaded the pitch to stage a sit-down protest. An angry Yates said: "It was never a penalty, the lad has dived and it was just plain cheating, "We deserved more from the game but that's life. "I think the fans had an influence on the decision to award a penalty. What happened before the incident clearly had a bearing on it. "We've achieved our objective for the season and that's it, no more, no less. We've now got a lot of work to do over the summer to make sure we are better next season."
