The 27-year-old has been with the Robins since 2002 but, after Allen gave him the option to move on, the striker joined Brentford on loan for the final months of the season. He told the Gloucester Citizen: "We spoke about a deal before I went to Brentford but now I don't know if he wants me or not. "It's a horrible situation to be in and I can't just sit around and wait for Cheltenham because I need to see what I can get. "A lot of players have been released and a lot of top players are filtering down the leagues. Hopefully a club out there will want me but it's not a nice feeling." He added: "I have been fortunate to have been there so long but I knew it couldn't last forever and different managers have different ideas."
