The Town captain is currently spending all his hours in the gym raising his fitness levels so that when he returns from his Achilles operation he is able to give himself the best chance of recovery.[LNB]Although he still has four months of rehabilitation remaining, Duff remains on course to return in March and the work he is currently putting in is definitely standing him in good stead. But the 27-year-old knows the physical success he is experiencing is only half the battle.[LNB]Duff, who has also been working as a club scout during his time on the sidelines, told the Gloucestershire Echo: "I am doing everything I possibly can to make my time out as short as possible. I am taking this opportunity to improve my leg strength by 15 or 20% and hopefully I will be a 15 or 20% better footballer.[LNB]"The surgeon is a straight talking guy and he said 'Shane, I am very happy with you'. I felt 10 years old again and I was getting a gold star. I was buzzing, but then it dawned on me that I still have four months to go.[LNB]"It's a mental test more than anything, but I am treating it as a character building exercise."[LNB][LNB]
