Thomas won`t dwell on penalty miss

Cheltenham striker Wesley Thomas insists his blistering start to the season will not be affected by his penalty miss in Saturday's 6-4 defeat at Rotherham. The 23-year-old has scored four goals in three games to become the first player to net in each of his opening three league matches for the Robins. Despite starting the season on a hot goalscoring streak, Thomas left the Don Valley Stadium with a glum face after his 70th-minute spot-kick miss allowed a 3-1 lead to slip away. "It won't affect me and I am confident in myself," Thomas told the Gloucester Citizen. "If there is another penalty I will put myself forward for it. "Scoring the goal is some consolation but I should have five goals and we should have won the game."
