Thomas test for Robins

Cheltenham will hand a late fitness test to Wes Thomas ahead of their home clash against Northampton. The striker, Town`s top scorer this term with seven goals, missed both last weekend`s 2-0 victory at Aldershot and Tuesday`s 2-0 trophy defeat to Plymouth with the thigh strain he sustained against Oxford. Thomas will be given until as late as possible to prove his availability, with a fitness test planned for Saturday lunchtime. Midfielder JJ Melligan will definitely miss out against the Cobblers as he rests a strained hamstring picked up against Aldershot. Frankie Artus hopes to be given the all-clear on Monday following his cracked fibula, with a view to returning to training on Tuesday. Defender Martin Riley (hamstring) is also hoping to be back in training next week.
