Thomas inspires Robins comeback
In-form Wesley Thomas bagged a brace as Cheltenham came from behind to register their first win of the season with a 3-2 victory over Crewe.
It was the visitors who drew first blood in spectacular fashion when Patrick Ada smashed in a volley with just four minutes on the clock.
Cheltenham equalised midway through the first half when Thomas fired in at the back post after a Brian Smikle shot had been saved by the superb Rhys Taylor.
The Robins then went ahead just before the break when Thomas pounced at the far post after Smikle's right-footed shot was only half saved by Taylor.
Crewe levelled matters in the 49th minute when Calvin Zola lashed in a Ashley Westwood cross at the back post. But Cheltenham hit back as Jeff Goulding restored their advantage with a sharp turn and low drive past a wrong-footed Taylor.
Scott Brown produced a point-blank save to deny Shaun Miller a headed equaliser after 75 minutes while, in the last minute, Westswood's throughball eluded everyone including keeper Brown only to hit a post.
