Spirited display impresses Allen

The cash-strapped Robins, who barring a miracle will crash out of League One at the end of the season, savoured their first three-point haul since before Christmas. Victory came via a first-half penalty from Elvis Hammond and a Nicholas Bignall goal two minutes from time - his first for the club. "The players were terrific. We rode our luck a bit and have played better and lost, but the team spirit, camaraderie and unity was outstanding," said Allen. "It's been difficult, it's not easy, especially when you're losing games and having to make people available for transfer to raise some money. "It's hard to keep players going but they've got great character and they deserve a lot of credit. This is a big result for us."
