Spencer eager to stay with Robins
The 27-year-old was made available for a transfer or loan last week after just two starts and seven substitute appearances this season.[LNB]Spencer, who last played for the first-team in December before suffering a medial ligament injury, scored for the reserves on Wednesday night and remains optimistic about staying at Whaddon Road.[LNB]"I returned to full training last Thursday, but was told I was on the list which was a bit of a shock because I worked hard to get myself back fit," he told the Gloucester Citizen.[LNB]"The manager has said the door isn't closed for me, so I will get my head down and not think about it too much.[LNB]"I would be happy to stay at Cheltenham and I am just going to work hard and see what happens at the end of the season," he added.[LNB][LNB]
