The Robins assistant is overseeing matters while Martin Allen is on gardening leave, with the club's board refusing to put a timescale on when they will reach a verdict on his long-term future as they investigate an alleged nightclub incident.[LNB]Schofield guided Cheltenham to a draw at Port Vale last weekend and is now preparing for Saturday's home test against Crewe.[LNB]But he told thisisgloucestershire.co.uk: "I don't feel I am staking my claims. That's never crossed my mind and it is not the driving force behind what we are trying to do.[LNB]"We are trying to get results and we have been entrusted with the club being in safe hands until the situation with the gaffer is resolved.[LNB]"At the end of the period, however long that may be, my job will be to say 'here is your football club' and I can't make any more decisions after that. There will then either be a decision for me to make or no decision to make. It is a massively difficult situation for us, but my job is football and that's all I like to talk about."[LNB][LNB]
