John Finnigan's penalty and Paul Connor's winner helped keep them in the hunt for survival and Allen expressed his pride at their performance following a poor first-half showing. "I'm very proud of all the squad," said Allen. "We needed to win so we kept three (strikers) up all through the second half and it paid off. "I wasn't happy with the first half and could have made three substitutions at half-time because I wasn't happy with them all. "But these players have been playing really well of late so I am pleased that I decided to stick with them. "I kept calm and I asked them to find that bit extra self belief and determination and they competed and battled."
