Robins receive cup boost

Cheltenham have virtually a full-strength squad for their FA Cup tie against Morecambe, presenting manager Mark Yates with a welcome selection headache. All three loan players Marlon Pack, Robin Shroot and Shaun Jeffers have been given permission to play by their respective parent clubs, Portsmouth, Birmingham and Coventry. Leading scorer Wes Thomas returned to training on Thursday after his absence nursing a thigh injury, although he is unlikely to start against the Shrimps. Defenders Danny Andrew (ankle) and Steve Elliott (calf) are both fully fit and in contention, leaving just captain Michael Pook (calf) on the sidelines for around another week. Yates kept faith with the same XI for Tuesday`s clash against Southend as the one which triumphed 4-2 at Accrington last weekend, and the Robins boss was delighted with the way his side performed up until the encounter was abandoned in the 66th minute due to floodlight failure. Whether he goes with the same line-up again or tweaks things around remains to be seen.
