Cheltenham have managed to lure Premier League quality down to League Two as George Rooney has left Bolton for the Robins. Rooney will become chief scout at Cheltenham after rejecting the option to stay on at Bolton. Rooney made the switch from Burnley to Bolton when Owen Coyle made the change between the two clubs, but he has now decided to leave the Premier League. He said: "My friends have asked why I have given up working in Premier League, but if you have the involvement and you respect the people you work with, it doesn't matter what level you work at. "Having witnessed football at all levels for a long time I am in awe of what Cheltenham have achieved."
