Robins galvanised by Allen affair

Martin Allen was put on gardening leave last Tuesday while the Robins board investigate an alleged nightclub incident, leaving assistant John Schofield in charge while a wind of uncertainty swirls around Whaddon Road.[LNB]The club's players put that to one side to dig out a 1-1 draw at Port Vale last weekend and midfielder Low, who put in a sterling performance at left-back, says the difficult period has pulled the squad together.[LNB]"Things like this can galvanise you and as a squad we are quite close anyway," the 30-year-old told the Gloucestershire Echo. "But it has brought us together and we have a common purpose that hasn't really changed, but it's focused a few minds.[LNB]"It's a change and a change always has an effect on any team. Hopefully it's having a positive effect on us."[LNB][LNB]
