Robins celebrate away success

Danny Andrew and Jeff Goulding were the heroes as Cheltenham upset the form book to claim all three points with a 2-0 win at Aldershot - their first away success since early April. The duo notched a goal in either half as Mark Yates' men claimed their first win in four games and condemned the luckless home side to their first defeat in four. Aldershot dominated early on and almost opened the scoring in the third minute but lively frontman Marvin Morgan was denied by smart work from Scott Brown. But the home side's dominant start was ruined when Andrew fired the Robins ahead 10 minutes later, rifling an unstoppable drive passed Jamie Young. Aldershot might have been level seconds before the interval but Wade Small's effort from close range was blocked on the line by Steve Elliot. The Robins got themselves a cushion just after the hour mark when Goulding pounced on a Josh Low cross and fired home from close range. Aldershot threw everything at the Robins to try and find a way back into the game but they found keeper Brown in fine form, most notably with a point-blank save to deny Manny Panther.
