The League Two outfit have agreed a compensation package with Blue Square Premier side Kidderminster for Yates and assistant Howarth to link up at Whaddon Road and they will officially start their new positions on Wednesday, in time to take charge of the Boxing Day fixture at home to Bournemouth.[LNB]Howarth will take the role of first-team coach at the League Two outfit with acting manager John Schofield becoming Yates' new right-hand man.[LNB]Schofield had been in temporary charge since the end of October when Cheltenham initially placed Martin Allen on gardening leave. He left his post last week by mutual consent after being formally cleared by the club of alleged racial misconduct.[LNB]Both Yates and Howarth are former Cheltenham players, and chairman Paul Baker told the club's official website: "We are delighted to have reached an agreement with Kidderminster to welcome Mark and Neil back.[LNB]"Despite their absence they have remained good friends of the club. Clearly they have very strong associations with us and some fond memories too.[LNB]"I wish them every success in their new roles. The board has no doubt they are up for the challenge and I know they cannot wait to get started."[LNB][LNB]
