Pook prepared to fight for starting berth

Michael Pook knows he faces a battle to reclaim his place in the Cheltenham starting line-up. Pook returned from a calf injury as a late substitute in the Robins` FA Cup defeat to Southampton and, with his side unbeaten in five league games, knows it will take time to break back into Mark Yates` XI. "The lads have been playing brilliantly so I knew it wasn`t going to be a case of going straight back into the team," he told the Gloucestershire Echo. "It was nice to get a taster at Southampton after a few weeks out and hopefully I can get a few more now. "We could have done better and stopped them scoring such easy goals. That was the biggest disappointment in the dressing room."
