Owusu poised for Adelaide talks

The striker was loaned out to Brighton back in March in an attempt to cut costs at the Abbey Business Stadium, and he duly scored seven goals in 14 matches to help the club stave off relegation. The Seagulls have offered Owusu a permanent contract and he has revealed his desire to play at the Withdean, but with interest also on the table from Adelaide, the 32-year-old is set to meet staff and explore the possibilities of a move Down Under before coming to a decision on his future. Adelaide played in last season's World Club Cup in Japan, which was won by Manchester United, and finished second in the domestic A-League. Adelaide football director Michael Valkanis said in the Gloucestershire Echo: "We know he's got a young family and that's one of the reasons why he wants to look for himself. "He wants to weigh up which way to go and at the same time we'll weigh up our options."
