Former Cheltenham winger Russell Milton has been appointed as the club`s new centre of excellence manager. Milton, who played for the Robins between 1997 and 2003, replaces Bristol Rovers-bound Ken Oram and will take charge of the club`s Under-16s as well as the day-to-day running of the centre where he has already been working for a year. John Brough takes the role of head of youth and stays on as the club`s official youth-team manager. Milton said: "We want to build upon everything that has been done over the years. It's very important we work together but we have a good knowledge of football and we'll be looking to improve the whole structure. "I started a year ago with the Under 15s but I've always wanted to get back involved professionally. It's nice to be around familiar faces and it`s a great opportunity for me to make a career out of something I really enjoy. I'm really chuffed and looking forward to it." Elsewhere, exciting young forward Theo Lewis has been struck down with glandular fever and has been ruled out of action until at least September, even ruling him out of Cheltenham`s official 2010/11 team photo.
