Defenders Drissa Diallo (thigh), Michael Townsend (hip) and Lee Ridley (calf), midfielders Michael Pook (ankle) and David Bird (calf) and strikers Barry Hayles (hamstring) and Theo Lewis (foot) all trained on Thursday. However, it remains to be seen who will be able to feature against the Silkmen as the seven go about proving their fitness in a series of late tests. There is also more positive news with the return of loan signing Frankie Artus from Bristol City and defender Holmar Eyjolfsson from international duty. However, captain Shane Duff remains a long-term absentee with his Achilles problem, while Sam Cox has returned to parent club Tottenham. Elsewhere, Ben Markall has become the second Cheltenham youngster in a matter of months to complete a switch to the Premier League by signing for Stoke. The 14-year-old, who follows in the footsteps of Jamie Edge, has completed the switch after the two clubs agreed an initial compensation fee plus further payments depending on his success. The match kicks off at 7.45pm.
