Icelander poised to make Robins bow
The Icelandic centre-back joined the Robins from West Ham on a month-long loan deal on Friday and will immediately compete for a place in the club's rearguard to face League Two's big spenders.
His arrival comes after the news captain Shane Duff, who was already sidelined, faces a further six months out having undergone an Achilles operation.
Midfielder Marley Watkins will be assessed over the next 24 hours having missed Tuesday's 2-1 home defeat to Shrewsbury due to illness.
On-loan Oliver Bozanic remains at parent club Reading where he continues to make progress with his medial knee ligament injury.
The versatile Sam Cox has also extended his loan stay at the Abbey Business Stadium and will be eligible to face the Magpies.
