Hayward to retire
Cheltenham have announced director and former chairman Arthur Hayward is to retire from the club`s board at the start of May after almost 30 years of service.
Hayward joined Town back in 1982 when the club were sat three levels below the Football League.
He has played a big role in helping establish the Robins to where they are today, including a 13-year spell as chairman before current incumbent Paul Baker who took over in 1997.
In recent years Hayward has managed the club`s finances, something which will now be undertaken by Tim Kent, a recent addition to the club`s board.
