Haynes set for exit

Cheltenham defender Kyle Haynes is poised for a month-long loan spell with Salisbury City. The youngster has been training with the Zamaretto Southern League Premier Division high-flyers this week and is set to follow in the footsteps of fellow Town prospect Jake Lee, who recently joined Bishops Cleeve on loan. Haynes has made a total of 19 first-team appearances for Cheltenham, most of which came last season, with the 18-year-old yet to feature for manager Mark Yates this term. And Yates told the club`s official website: "He needs some regular football and I have offered his services to a number of clubs. Money is tight everywhere so it hasn`t always been possible. "Darrell Clarke (Salisbury manager) has been trailing Kyle for months but the timing has not always been right with injuries. Hopefully that deal will happen in the next day or so." Meanwhile, Cheltenham`s groundstaff are fighting an uphill battle in their attempts to ensure Saturday`s home clash against Lincoln goes ahead. Frost covers could not prevent Tuesday`s encounter versus Southend from being postponed and the pitch at Whaddon Road remains frozen with temperatures hardly set to improve over the next 48 hours.
