Frankie ready for first team fight

Cheltenham`s Frankie Artus knows he has a battle on his hands if he is to reclaim his midfield starting spot having spent the past five weeks on the sidelines. The 22-year-old summer signing started all six of Town`s opening half-dozen games but sustained a slight fracture to his fibula during the 3-1 defeat at Barnet in early September, and has since been forced to the treatment room and gym to allow the bone to heal. Artus was finally given the all-clear to return to training on Tuesday, with full involvement on Thursday, ahead of a comeback in Mark Yates` matchday 18 against Bradford on Saturday or more likely Port Vale next weekend. But with the Robins riding high in seventh place, Artus realises it will be no easy task working his way back into Yates` starting XI. "We are in a great position in the league and I know it's going to be hard to get back in because the lads are doing well," he told the Gloucestershire Echo. "I just want to be involved and be a part of it again because it's not easy watching games and spending time in the treatment room while the lads are out training every day."
