The ex-Southampton and Blackburn number one earned 11 caps for the Three Lions between 1993 and 1998 and was included in the squads for Euro 96 and France 98.[LNB]Having retired from the playing side of the game, Flowers was recruited as Iain Dowie's assistant at Coventry and later QPR but has been out of work since the pair were relieved of their duties at Loftus Road back in October 2008.[LNB]The 43-year-old had been helping out at Yates's former employers Kidderminster but, following his move to the Abbey Business Stadium, has now been drafted in to coach Robins trio Scott Brown, Will Puddy and Joe Perry for one day a week.[LNB]Cheltenham have been without a goalkeeping coach since Barry Richardson parted ways with the club last month.[LNB]It is understood the measure is currently not thought of as a long-term plan and is merely on a voluntary, temporary basis.[LNB][LNB]
