Hammond has been struggling with his troublesome ankle of late but returned as an unused substitute for Saturday's goalless draw at Grimsby - his first involvement since mid-December.[LNB]And he gained a valuable 80 minutes of match practice on Tuesday afternoon as an experienced Robins second-string brushed aside their Wiltshire opponents with ease, while also showing new boss Mark Yates he has not lost his eye for goal.[LNB]Trialists Claus Jorgensen, Billy Gibson and Jordan Parkes also started - with Gibson grabbing a brace and Parkes also getting on the scoresheet. Youngster Jake Lee netted the final goal during the rout at Cheltenham's training ground.[LNB]Meanwhile, veteran striker Barry Hayles, who partnered Hammond in attack, has turned down the chance to rejoin former club Stevenage Borough.[LNB]Hayles, 37, started his career with the non-league outfit but has expressed a desire to remain at Cheltenham following an enquiry by the Blue Square Premier leaders.[LNB][LNB]
