Loan poser for Johnson

Gary Johnson has to decide which loanee to leave out against Stevenage as he prepares for his first match as Cheltenham boss on home soil.

The Robins have six loanees on their books and Matt Sparrow will hope he is not the odd man out for the second successive game having been left out of the squad for their 1-0 defeat to York on Good Friday.

That loss saw Cheltenham slump to within three points of safety but Johnson is keeping positive ahead of his Whaddon Road bow.

He could hand recalls to the likes of Danny Haynes and Joe Hanks in a bid to get back to winning ways.

Stevenage, two points off the play-offs, have several injuries to contend with.

Dean Parrett limped off in the draw with Burton and failed to play against Tranmere on Good Friday, a game that Ronnie Henry and Kevin Lisbie also missed.

Chris Beardsley also failed to shake off a hamstring injury in time to face Rovers.

Harry Worley (knee) is expected to make a comeback soon while David McAllister (groin) and Calvin Zola (hamstring) are set to return to training next week.
