Trio set for Robins return

Mark Yates could be boosted by the return of three key players as they look to get back to winning ways against Portsmouth.

Defender Steve Elliott missed the midweek penalty shoot-out defeat to Plymouth with a head injury while midfielder Matt Richards had a hamstring problem.

And they could be joined in the squad by experienced striker Jamie Cureton, missing since he dislocated his shoulder on the opening day of the season.

David Noble could feature again after making his debut on loan from Rotherham as a substitute against the Pilgrims while 17-year-old winger Zack Kotwica will hope he can keep his place after making his full debut.

Marcos Painter and Patrick Agyemang could return for Portsmouth.

Left-back Painter is back in contention after a couple of weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury, and forward Agyemang sat out Tuesday night's Johnstone's Paint Trophy shoot-out win at Torquay to rest a foot problem.

Agyemang's strike partner David Connolly misses out again, however, as he is in the middle of a three-game ban for his red card against Chesterfield last Saturday.

Tom Craddock came off the bench in midweek as he was not fit enough to start, so he could partner Agyemang in a new-look attack.
