Bennett boost for Robins Cheltenham's preparations for the home clash with Plymouth have been given a timely boost by the return of captain Alan Bennett after suspension. The 31-year-old Republic of Ireland international served the last of his three-match ban on Saturday at Valley Parade and manager Mark Yates will have to decide whether to reinstate the former Brentford man or stick with Keith Lowe. The 3-1 defeat at the Coral Windows Stadium on Saturday was the club's first in seven league games and, with Bennett's return, Yates has the entire squad at his disposal for the visit of the Pilgrims. "We should pretty much have a clean bill of health," Yates told the official website. "We are checking on one or two ahead of training but everyone looks to be fine and we should have plenty of options." Plymouth will assess the fitness of Onismor Bhasera after the midfielder suffered an injury with Zimbabwe. The 26-year-old returned from Africa Cup of Nations duty with a knock and missed Saturday's victory over Rochdale along with Watford loanee Ross Jenkins, who is suffering from a groin injury. The Pilgrims, who have a positive goal difference for the first time since August 2010, were able to name Jamie Lowry on the bench on Saturday after the midfielder came through a specially-arranged friendly unscathed having been on the sidelines since July. Fellow midfielder Paul Wotton is much further away from a return having undergone back surgery last week which will keep him out until December. Welsh striker Rhys Griffiths will also miss the trip to face Mark Yates' side with a groin injury.
