Jordan Cranston available for Grimsby clash

Jordan Cranston is back in contention for Cheltenham as the Robins bid to pull clear of the Sky Bet League Two relegation zone with a positive result against Grimsby.

Friday's goalless draw at Crawley left Town just two points above 23rd-placed Newport, and the availability of full-back Cranston following suspension will provide a timely boost.

Scott Brown was back in goal after missing out against his parent club Wycombe, and the clean sheet should see him retain the gloves.

Defender Daniel O'Shaughnessy (foot) is an injury doubt.

Russell Slade will be hoping to make it two wins from two after rejoining the club for a second spell as Grimsby manager.

The Mariners were 2-1 winners against Cambridge on Good Friday with Slade only making one change from the starting XI picked by predecessor Marcus Bignot in his last match.

James Berrett came in for his first start since December and is likely to keep his place in central midfield following a solid 67-minute performance.

Striker Scott Vernon is in contention to return after a two-week concussion protocol, but Ben Davies (calf) and Akwasi Asante (knock) are likely to miss out.
