Vincent set to retain Robins place

Cheltenham have no fresh injury worries ahead of the visit of League Two leaders Chesterfield.

The Robins moved up the table with a 1-0 win at Newport on Saturday but manager Mark Yates remains without defender Troy Brown as he continues to struggle with an ankle injury and David Noble, who is still nursing a hamstring problem.

Ashley Vincent returned to the side in shock fashion having made a quick recovery from a hamstring injury and he marked his first start of the season with the only goal of the game and now looks set to keep his place.

Another shock inclusion at the weekend was Mitch Brundle who was selected at right-back for his Football League debut and the Bristol City loanee will hope to keep Sido Jombati out of the starting line-up again.

Jay O'Shea is a fresh injury concern for Chesterfield ahead of the trip to Cheltenham.

O'Shea had to be substituted at half-time during the 1-0 defeat at Wycombe and the midfielder is a doubt for Tuesday night.

Ollie Banks, Dan Gardner, Marc Richards or Armand Gnanduillet could replace O'Shea if necessary, depending on how manager Paul Cook opts to line up against the Robins. Left-back Nathan Smith and midfielder Sam Togwell were also on the bench on Saturday and provide options elsewhere for Cook.

Drew Talbot has missed the last three matches with an abductor problem and, after scans last week, the right-back is looking at a further two or three weeks on the sidelines.
