Limited options for Cheltenham boss Gary Johnson

Cheltenham manager Gary Johnson only has 14 fit senior players for his side's EFL Cup clash with Charlton.

Club captain Aaron Downes is still out with an anterior cruciate ligament injury and is joined on the sidelines by Jack Munns (knee), James Dayton (ankle) and Asa Hall (groin).

Kyle Storer misses out as he serves the second match of his eight-game suspension for biting at the end of last season.

Jack Bartham, Jordan Cranston and Billy Waters are in contention to start after impressing off the bench in the 1-1 draw with Leyton Orient.

Russell Slade will be hoping his side can bounce back from Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Bury with victory in the first-ever competitive match against the Robins.

Lee Novak is likely to retain his place in the starting line-up despite playing with a cast to protect his broken hand in the season opener on Saturday.

Patrick Bauer could be in contention after he returned to training from injury but Alou Diarra is definitely out with a broken foot.

Ahmed Kashi (Achilles) is out until October while Harry Lennon's groin injury rules him out for the second successive match.
