Dan Holman could make Robins return against Barnet

Cheltenham striker Dan Holman could feature in the Boxing Day clash against Barnet at Whaddon Road.

Holman has been out of the squad since picking up an ankle injury at Cambridge last month but is closing in on a return to action, although it remains to be seen if that will be against the Bees.

Midfielder James Dayton is a doubt after picking up a minor knock against Morecambe last weekend.

Asa Hall is still sidelined with a long-term Achilles injury and is expected to be ruled out until February while his fellow midfielder Alex Cooper remains out with a hamstring injury.

Barnet could be unchanged from the side which lost to Stevenage with a number of players still unavailable.

Midfielder Tom Champion missed the Stevenage game through injury and is expected to sit out the trip to Cheltenham as well.

Michael Gash (knee), Shaun Batt (hamstring), Ben Tomlinson (quad) and James Pearson (knee) are all long-term absentees, while new signing Dan Sweeney is not eligible until the January 2 match with Plymouth.

Winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce and defender Harry Taylor, however, have returned to training and could be in contention to face the Robins.
