Cheltenham V Accrington Stanley at Abbey Business Stadium : Match Preview

31 August 2012 15:41
Cheltenham manager Mark Yates has a fully-fit squad to select from as his team take on Accrington at Whaddon Road. The Robins have made an impressive start to the season, with seven points from their opening three league games, and with no injuries or suspensions, Yates is set to keep faith with his current starting XI. Darren Carter, Alan Bennett, Darryl Duffy, and Danny Andrew are all waiting for their first league starts of the season after proving their match fitness, but will have to settle for a place on Yates' bench. Kaid Mohamed had been the Cheltenham manager's only slight concern, but he has returned to full training and will hoping for a place among the substitutes Harry Hooman and Steve Elliott have conceded just two goals in three games at the heart of the Robins' defence and will retain their spots. After consecutive away games, the Gloucestershire club will welcome a home fixture against Paul Cook's Stanley, a team which they completed the double over last season. Accrington boss Paul Cook has been boosted by the availability of Toto Nsiala for the game. The defender has been struggling with an ankle injury but is now fit and available for selection. Fellow defender Adam Stockdale is unavailable after the club cancelled his contract by mutual consent on Thursday. The 18-year-old has left the club to pursue a degree in sports science after a meeting about his future with Cook. Otherwise Cook has no fresh injury or suspension worries but may look to rotate his squad. Stanley surrendered their unbeaten start to the season last week in a disappointing 3-0 home defeat to Exeter. Luke Clark, Charlie Barnett and Aidan Chippendale all came off the bench in that fixture and come into contention.
