Mohamed stings Bees

Super-sub Kaid Mohamed struck a second-half stunner to help steer Cheltenham to a 2-0 victory over Barnet and keep their play-off hopes alive.

The winger broke from halfway before exchanging passes with Jermaine McGlashan and firing past Bees keeper Dean Brill after 76 minutes as Town wrapped up their first win in eight starts.

A string of excellent saves at both ends ensured it remained goalless until Mohamed's strike.

Brill saved well from Steve MacLean in the first half and then at the feet of Darryl Duffy on the hour.

Cheltenham's Jack Butland was also in the thick of things, keeping out first half efforts from Mark Byrne and Ricky Holmes before denying leading scorer Izale McLeod with a brilliant reflex save after the break.

The Robins had not scored in more than 10 hours, but made sure of victory a minute from time when Ben Burgess headed on a Luke Garbutt free-kick for Jimmy Spencer who calmly slotted home from 12 yards.
