Cheltenham 1-1 Rotherham: Match Report

Robins bounce back with point Cheltenham bounced back from their eight-goal thrashing at Crewe last week to earn a battling point in a 1-1 draw against Rotherham. But the Robins did it the hard way, falling behind after just 12 minutes when Jason Taylor drilled in from the edge of the box. Within a minute Matt Green nearly equalised, cutting in from the right and rifling a shot against the post. Andy Gallinagh also had a first-half header tipped on to the crossbar by goalkeeper Jamie Annerson but the defender did grab the equaliser after 62 minutes following a goalmouth scramble when Annerson spilled a Danny Andrew cross. Both sides created a host of chances with Rotherham's Tom Pope having two headers cleared off the line in the first half. Team-mate Nicky Law also fizzed a drive just wide and then after the break saw a glancing header well saved by Scott Brown. Brown was the busier of the keepers, palming over a Marcus Marshall header from 12 yards and reacting sharply to stop a Ryan Taylor effort from close range. In stoppage time, Millers substitute Liam Henderson headed just wide.
