The acting Robins skipper fired home from 20 yards to secure a second successive win for the club - just 24 hours after his wife gave birth to their second daughter. "I made Dave skipper on Saturday, he is a local lad and has played a lot of games for this club," said Allen. "His wife had a baby girl on Monday and they are both well. The goal he scored was awesome. We gave him a round of applause in the dressing room as it was up there with the very best." The Robins turned in a spectacular display which belied their position, stranded at the bottom of League One. "It was fantastic," added Allen. "I only had eight players in training (prior to the game) and we only have 12 fit professionals. It was a good all-round performance from all of them and the supporters were magic in the second half."
